Requirements
Requirements for this position include:
- For this position, you must have some experience with automotive service.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- You must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree.
- We require applicants to be able to work a flexible schedule.
- You must be a hard worker, communicate clearly, and be interested in a long-term career.
We are especially interested in applicants who have ASE certification, an inspection license, and advanced training. This is not a requirement, but it will make you more highly desired.

Responsibilities
As an automotive service technician at Ourisman Chevrolet of Baltimore, you will be expected to receive repair orders and perform the work outlined on those orders. You must work both accurately and efficiently, living up to factory and dealership standards. This includes keeping your work area and the customers' vehicles neat, and cleaning spills as they happen. As part of your service and repair work, you may be expected to diagnose malfunctions to find their cause, and then perform authorized repairs. If you need approval for extra work or if the repair will take longer than expected, you will need to communicate with the service advisor. In addition, you will need to communicate with the parts department for parts you need for repairs.
In addition, you will need to complete regular training and keep up to date with the latest bulletins put out by the factory.
